A Peritoneal Inclusion Cyst, a benign, yet unusual mass, also known as inflammatory cyst of the peritoneum, peritoneal pseudocyst, or postoperative peritoneal cyst, is a complex cystic adnexal mass which consists of a normal ovary entrapped in multiple fluid-filled adhesions. It is seen in perimenopausal women, with a history of previous abdominal/pelvic operation or infection. We describe a case of a 45 year female with previous history of multiple surgeries, presenting to us with a lower abdominal mass, with radiological findings suggesting an ovarian tumor. However, the histopathology report was suggestive of a Peritoneal Inclusion Cyst.
